Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £56,000 per annum

As our Business Development Manager, you will:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define the scope and structure of academic conferences, workshops, award events, and training programs
  • Contributes to the development of sales strategies and setting of delegate registration, sponsorship, and partnership targets aligned with company goals.
  • Engages with academic institutions, corporate clients, and professional bodies to understand their event participation or training needs; collects feedback to inform program design, pricing, and delivery format.
  • Conducts market research and competitor analysis to assess demand for event themes, speaker trends, and training topics; uses insights to support promotional and content planning.
  • Manages relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring excellent customer service and maximised retention for future events.
  • Compiles and analyses sales data (e.g., registrations, sponsorship uptake, training enrolments); prepares reports and presents strategic recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
  • Keeps up to date with trends in the global events, education, and professional development sectors, as well as competitor activities and innovations.

Skills and Experience required:
  • Proven experience in business development or sales partnership roles
